Reading interesting articles on the web is not always as distraction-free as it is on Kindle or mobile devices. To address that problem, there is a free service called klip.me that allows you to send web articles from your browser to your email, Kindle or mobiles. Here’s what it has to offer.
After you install the klip.me extension or bookmarklet, you’ll be able to ‘clip’ the article so that only the main text of the article shows up. You can then either read the article in the browser or click the ‘Send’ button to push it to your Kindle, email or Phone. Before the article gets sent to your destination, you’ll see a preview of the clipped article. The service comes in 2 variants; ‘Send to Kindle‘ is for Kindle users and ‘EverRead‘ is for pushing articles to Evernote, Instapaper and email. The extension works great across Chrome and Safari. For IE and Firefox users, there’s the bookmarklet.

Using the extension, you can also set keyboard shortcuts which will make things easier for all the keyboard junkies out there. To speed things up further, you can also enable 1clickSend, which, instead of showing a preview of the clipped article, will send the article directly to the destination. Though the service doesn’t have any mobile app of its own, you can read clipped articles on the go by pushing them to Evernote or Instapaper which have great mobile apps of their own.
