The previously covered service Klip.me, which lets users sync their Google Reader articles with Kindle and Android, has added another great feature to its repertoire. It now delivers all your Google Calendar events to your Kindle, packed in a nice magazine-like format. This is especially useful for people who like having everything on their easy-on-the-eyes Kindle. Here’s a quick tutorial on how to get it working with your Google Calendar account.
To get started, just go to this page and connect your Google Calendar account (using OAuth) to Klip.me. Then, enter your Kindle email address. Here, do make sure you enter your ‘@free.kindle.com’ email address so that you won’t incur any charges. If you’re on 3G though, you can use the ‘@kindle.com’ address which will cost you some data charges. Then finally, set the time you want the article to be delivered. If all goes well, you’ll see your upcoming events in a nice magazine-like navigable format.

Also worth noting is that if you’ve enabled Weather Forecasts in Google Calendar(Cog icon> Calendar Settings> Show Weather Based on My Location), that too will get synced with your Kindle. Cool huh?
Once you connect your Google Calendar account with Klip. you can set it to deliver your events at any time you specify. I think most people would prefer to set it in the morning so that they could get a glimpse of the upcoming day’s events while travelling. One advantage of viewing events on your Kindle is that, unlike on mobile or tablets, it doesn’t require any internet connection. The downside to this method obviously is that it is read-only; so, you can’t make any changes to your calendar. Nevertheless, it’s still a great option for all the Kindle users out there.
