YouTube, it seems, is all set to get a facelift soon. The Google-owned video sharing site is testing out a new interface with deeper Google+ integration, a revamped homepage and a new subscriptions dashboard. The update is currently visible to only a small number of users; so, impatient ones will have make do with the screenshots till Google rolls out the changes for everyone. Without much ado, here’s an overview of what’s about to come.
Revamped Homepage
The new interface differs quite a lot from Cosmic Panda, which is one of the many experimental features offered by YouTube. The revamped homepage will include a new sidebar on the left which will allow users to easily jump between their favorite channels. The sidebar will also include links to popular and trending videos thus making it easier to explore new content. Similarly, on the right, you’ll find that the videos are now displayed in a single-column layout with more focus on content and bigger thumbnails.

Google Plus integration
If someone in your Google Plus circles shares a video with you, that video will also show up on your personal YouTube homescreen .
The YouTube button
Clicking on the YouTube logo on the top left part of the screen will take you to the YouTube Guide page : http://www.youtube.com/guide
A New Favicon
The new favicon will be a much sleeker looking red-and-white icon which resembles the play button on video players.

New Video Uploads Screen
The video uploads screen has also gotten a redesign. Youtubers who are using the Cosmic Panda UI might be able to use this interface right away.

Improved Video Page
The video page gets even more minimalistic with a clean and gray interface that’s easy on the eyes. Instead of two, now there are three buttons beneath the video: Shrink, Expand and Fullscreen. Apart from that, there isn’t much difference between the current layout and the new one.

There’s no official word from YouTube as to when this changes will roll out, so we’ll just have to wait till more people start seeing the changes.
What do you think?
So, do you like the new interface? Or would you rather stick to the old one? Express your views in the comments section below. Also, do make sure you follow us on our newly created Google Plus Page
