Recently, Techlaze was accidentally marked by Google as spam. After reporting the error through Google’s Webmasters tools, Google has finally restored the site to its original state. The problem was that most of the articles on the site were having trackbacks and comments which led to malicious sites, thus resulting in Google flagging us. Here’s some of the lessons I’ve learned from the experience:
1. Pay attention to trackbacks
2. Be careful when moderating comments with links
3. Do a comments cleanup from time to time.
It will take a while till the site is restored to normal, so hang on tight. You’ll see some articles coming real soon.
